About This Work
I climbed up above the coastline until the whole sweep of the Pacific opened out below me, soft swells rolling in across the volcanic shore and dramatic clouds drifting overhead. From up there the rich green of the rainforest ran right down to the deep blue of the ocean, and the two colors met in a way that felt both wild and completely at peace. I held the frame tall to keep that high, looking-down perspective, the feeling of standing above it all with the wind coming up the slope. There is a particular kind of escape in a view like this, intimate and vast at the same time. It invites you to slow down, breathe, and get lost in the rhythm of the water. That is the Costa Rica I love, and that is what Hermosa holds.
